GROW Goes Global
When Janet Wolfe went to Ecuador in 2010 for a mission's trip little did she know the doors the Lord would open for her and her dedicated outreach for women. Janet was allowed to tour and preach to the women in the Ceunc Ecuador prison.
Read Janet's Note from her recent 2011 Ecuador trip:
Dear Friends
of GROW,
It is so
awesome to report to all of you what God did for our Ecuador team and more
importantly what He did for the women of the Cuenca prison. To begin with the Lord moved even before we
left town through those of you who felt the Holy Spirit and we raised more than
$2,200 to help the women of the Cuenca Ecuador prison.
I met the
prison director on Monday of our trip. The director was on board with helping
the women. He asked us for 20 mattresses, new beds to get the women and
children off the floor, blankets and hot water heaters so women could have hot
showers. Because of your generosity we
were able to purchase all the items the director asked for and even more. Two
women who started a bakery in the prison to raise money to live on, also
received blessings from GROW Ministries. We were able to purchase flour, sugar,
shelf milk, eggs, baking pans, wooden spoons, and a cookie cookbook, so they
can bake and sell their items. With
tears in their eyes they thanked me and GROW for all we were doing there in
Ecuador. It was such a blessing for me
to watch God change these women while we ministered to them for five days in a
row. We averaged more than 30 women a day. Another amazing thing was when the
Lord allowed us to meet a man selling his paintings on the street. Through the
conversation we were able to hear that he had been praying for God to bring in
someone to the prison in Cuenca Ecuador and he was thrilled to hear his prays
were answered! GROW is thrilled also to
know that the missionaries are carrying on this work each week. The women are
still attending classes there through the missionary work. Pray for them the
greatest need is a spiritual need, but the Lord works in ALL things! Be believe
that through your generous giving the Love of God was felt by the women and
that love has prompted them to continue to pursue Him with their lives, for
that I personally wanted to thank each of you for giving to GROW so we could
give to the women of that prison!
GROW also
has another current urgent need, a residential facility. We are looking for an Iowa house as soon as
god provides it! Do you know of someone
in the position to donate such a house? Do you have or know of someone renting out a
house in Iowa? If so please call the
office and let us know or pass on our info so we can fill this need soon God
bless.

Why is YOUR Support needed?
The provisions the prison provides these women inmates is meager and falls far short of an individual's basic needs. Each woman is provided:
- only two (2) meals per day
- a bed and,
- nothing else!
Everything else the women need MUST be provided by someone else on the outside of the prison. Many of these women have their children living with them in the prison. These women still only receive 2 meals per day and must share those with their children; many who are babies.
GROW ministries is now working with Local missionaries to send funds to help these women in need. These funds will be used to purchase such things as:
- toilet paper (they get none otherwise)
- bar soap (they have none otherwise)
- diapers (for those who have their children in prison with them - otherwise they have none)
- Spanish books/Bibles.
GROW needs your help and financial support to help these
women and children in the Ecuador prison.
